The Recent Announcements area in Home displays announcements from all of the sites in which you are enrolled.
Use options to view All announcements, Public announcements only, or announcements by group. (You must be a member of a group in order to see group announcements.)
While viewing your Home site, select Overview. Move down the page until you locate the Recent Announcements area.
You will see announcements from all of your sites in Home.
Clicking on an announcement will display the announcement details.
In the View menu, select All, Public, By group, or By Role.
In the Viewing menu, select the number of items you would like to display. The default is 20 items.
Note: By default, you will only see announcements that have been posted within the last 10 days in this location. (If you wish to see announcements posted within the past year, click Announcements in the Tool Menu.)
While viewing your Home site, select Dashboard. Locate the Announcements widget.
You will see announcements from all of your pinned sites in Home.
By default you will see announcements from All Pinned Sites. You may use the drop down menu to filter by a specific site.
By default, announcements are ordered by Earliest first. You may change the sort order to Latest first, Title: A-Z, Title: Z-A, Site: A-Z, Site: Z-A, or Instructor order.
While viewing your Home site, select Announcements. The Announcements tool will display.
You will see all of your announcements from all of your sites in Home for the last year.
In the View menu, select All, Public, By group, or By Role.
In the Viewing menu, select the number of items you would like to display. The default is 10 items.
Click on a column heading to sort by that column.
Note: You will not be able to create new announcements from within the Home site, even if you are the instructor of one of your enrolled sites. You will need to go to the site in question and use the Announcements tool within that course or project site to create a new announcement for that site.
